MAC Attends the GN Gonzales Honda 75th Anniversary Event
Written by Jerry Maye
On Saturday, September 17th 2011 The MAC Baton Rouge Chapter attended the 2011 GN Gonzales Honda's 75th Anniversary in Baton Rouge, La. A large number of people turned out on a beautiful day to ride. A few people said they saw Mr. George riding around the store, (you are missed).
Scott and Laure Elkins, Harvey Darnell and Rickey Duplessis were there to represent MAC at the information booth. Their efforts accounted for five new members as well as gave away over 40 yard signs, sold over $100.00 in T-Shirts, patches, helmet stickers.
Lots of food, music and fun was had by all. The beautiful TW Robinson and Bob Courtney of the popular motorcyclist television production LA Rider added a special flare to the day.
We are asked if motorcycle awareness makes a difference. There was almost a 40% decrease in fatal crashes in La. Did MAC have an impact on those numbers? We like to think so.
