Bayou Region MAC Chapter 2011 - 2012 Board Members
Written by Beryl LeBoeufHello Everyone,
Yes, it's still really hot but we have planned a ride for Saturday, August 20th to The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville.
The ride will leave at 9:00 a.m. from the Huddle House restaurant in Thibodaux at the corner of Hwy 308 and St. Patrick Hwy (or the end of Jackson Street). Feel free to invite non-MAC riders also.
Our plans are to eat lunch at The Myrtles and then everyone can make their own plans for a tour or ride back home.
Please let me now if you plan to attend. I would like to call ahead to the restaurant if we will be a large group. Below is the website link in case anyone wants to review the menu or the details regarding the tours.
Click here for more information: http://www.myrtlesplantation.com/index.html
Hope to see everyone there.

Secretary, Bayou Region MAC
Warren and Mary Broussard (Baton Rouge Chapter), Kevin and Beryl LeBoeuf (Bayou Region Chapter) and Jeff Haydel (NOLA Chapter) attended the highway safety portion of the Teen CERT camp on Tuesday, June 21st in Bunkie, La. Warren presented MAC's message to approximately 100 teens. These young people were very receptive and enjoyed the family feud and fatal vision goggle games presented by MAC.
Thank you Lt. O'Bryan for inviting us to this event. We truly enjoyed our time with these young people.
Bayou Region MAC attended the "Bayouland Families Helping Families" event in
Lockport on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
Volunteers were Neil Gros, Lisa Brown, Patty and Mike Breaux. We raised awareness by handing out our brochures and
pamphlets, along with our cups, pens, pencils, stickers, signs and new bags. The children and parents loved the bags, especially for the Easter Egg Hunt.
There were yellow bags all over the event. It was a huge success for us in
raising awareness.
