When words just can't say enough..
We are sad to report the passing of Harvey Darnell. He passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, June 15 of heart failure.
Harvey was a long time member of the Baton Rouge chapter and an avid supporter of MAC and it’s mission. He served as an interim director on a couple of occasions, but more importantly Harvey was always there when help was needed, every day that is except Sundays.
Harvey always kept Sundays for church and family. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Harvey will miss him.

Spearman meets with Kuchar in Lincoln
The Motorcycle Awareness Campaign's National Board has been receiving requests from around the nation about the possibility of starting MAC chapters. One request came from Stephen Kuchar in Lincoln, Nebraska.
On our way to the Black Hills of South Dakota, three MAC members and I made an overnight stop in Lincoln, Nebraska to meet Stephen. Kojak, as he is known by his friends, had contacted us a couple of months ago about starting a chapter in Lincoln. He is the safety director for a local trucking company and also the safety director of the local HOG chapter. Stephen also works as Chaplin for a local hospital. Obviously he has a deep commitment to safety and employs safety practices while riding his motorcycle.
We had a great visit with him and his wife Betty Lou. Of course the main topic of conversation was MAC. Stephen seems to be the kind of person that can initiate a MAC chapter. We hope that he will find the support needed to run a chapter there. The National Board is looking forward to working with him and will give him all the support necessary to start and maintain a chapter in Lincoln.
