Fellow MAC Members
The Dutch Battle Chapter of MAC would like to invite all of you
to the Third Annual Dutch Battle Memorial Ride and Gumbo Cook Off in
Historic Downtown Hammond, LA., on September 26,2009.
This year the event will be larger than ever. We have planned what
we feel will be a wonderful day for riders and non riders.
Registration begins at 8:30 and the ride begins at 9:30 am. There
will be raffle with great prizes, including a Honda Scooter. We will
have a motorcycle safety demonstration, numerous vendors, games for
the children, vintage motorcycles, great gumbo, music by a Bluegrass
Band, a Scottish String Band and the Fabulous Dominos will perform
from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, this and much more.
This promises to be one of the BEST ...MAC sponsored events of the
year. We would love to have all MAC members and Chapters join us in
Hammond, LA. on September 26th to promote motorcycle safety and
awareness. Bring your friends, this is for everyone, riders and non
riders. All proceeds go to promote motorcycle safety and awareness.
WELCOME to the Motorcycle
Awareness Campaign (MAC)
We are often asked “How can I help?” Some members help
financially, others with their talents and some with their contacts.
Do what you can, when you can, life sometimes get in the way of
stuff you want to do. Our organization/movement has been around for
over 5 years. Have we made a difference? We are not sure how to
judge our success. Most of us, who have lost family or friends, feel
better knowing that at least we are trying.

MAC has about 400 members from around Southern Louisiana.
Most of the membership is currently in the Baton Rouge, Hammond and Lafayette regions. Other chapters are expected to be formed soon in other Louisiana cities, as well as Arkansas and Texas.
We are growing every day, and are having an impact! Motorcycling is already safer because M.A.C. exists! But there is still much to be done.
You can be a part of this grassroots effort to make motorcycling safer for all of us who ride. We need contributions (all deductible--we are a 501C3 corporation), we need your time and we need your help!
You can now join us by email, online, or by phone!!
