WELCOME to the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign (MAC)
The Motorcycle Awareness Campaign (MAC) was formed in 2004 and has grown into a membership/support base of over 1000 people in 5 Chapters across Louisiana. Additional Chapters are expected to come on line in Louisiana during 2010.
Our mission to promote awareness of motorcyclists to motorists and promote education and training for motorcyclists in Louisiana has attracted interest from other states; Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Arizona to name few.
The MAC Board of Directors is learning that rapid growth poses many challenges. With that thought in mind the board is meticulously developing a model to expand nationally as interest continues to increase. If you are in that group please be patient for there is much to be done.
Motorcycling is becoming a safer mode of transportation; the fatality rate has decreased 9.1 % in Louisiana (La. Highway Safety Commission) due to the efforts of many concerned motorcyclists and motorists.
If you would like to take part in this grassroots campaign please contact MacBoard@Macorg.com or contact the chapter in your area
You can now join us by email, online, or by phone!!

MAC has about 1200 members from around Southern Louisiana
We are often asked “How can I help?” Some members help financially, others with their talents and some with their contacts. Do what you can, when you can, life sometimes gets in the way of stuff you want to do. Our organization/movement has been around for over 6 years. Have we made a difference? We are not sure how to judge our success. Most of us, who have lost family or friends, feel better knowing that at least we are trying. MAC has Membership Meetings which is an opportunity for members to collect materials,  volunteer for events and discuss safety topics that are of interest to the motorcycling community. MAC likes to have guest speakers as often as possible.
