Admittedly, 2020 has been an awful year.  COVID-19…a record number of hurricanes…a ridiculously contentious  presidential election…devastating wildfires…unprecedented racial tension…

On a personal note, I lost my mother in October at the age of 99.  She was a World War II veteran, having served on active duty in the United States Coast Guard; and with the help of my friends at the Office of Veterans Affairs, I made sure she was buried with full military honors.

Even though we’re advised against sharing Thanksgiving with those outside our immediate family, I believe we still have much to be thankful for.  I’d be willing to bet you could come up with at least ten things in your life that you’re grateful for.

Be safe out there…and wherever you go.
