TIPS YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE
Every time I represent the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign at a speaking engagement or in a media interview, I talk about the need for help from the motoring public, in general. After all, our catch phrase, “PLEASE WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES” is aimed directly at the people driving cars and trucks and vans and anything on 4+ wheels.
But I am also quick to remind everyone that we, as motorcyclists, are not abdicating OUR responsibility to actively watch out for THEM! So I was excited to read about the “SECRET” rules for motorcyclists…the rules that aren’t written down by the Office of Motor Vehicles for us to memorize for our driver’s test.
Everyone who throws a leg over a saddle…no matter how seasoned a rider he or she is…should watch this video which popped up for me on YouTube. There’s a lot of common sense here. Or maybe it’s UNcommon sense.
