As Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month comes to a close, I’d like to thank the businesses who allowed MAC to “set up shop” on their premises to hand out MAC yard signs and bumper stickers.
On May 8, it was Warhawk Harley-Davidson in Monroe. They even let us set up safe riding demonstrations in their parking lot.
A new MAC supporter, Hammond Harley-Davidson, welcomed MAC on May 15, and we distributed a great many yard signs.
MAC returned to the Northshore on May 22 when we visited Jandy Imports in Slidell, who even made a significant unsolicited contribution to MAC which was greatly appreciated.
We wrapped up our tour of the state in Baton Rouge on May 29 with a visit to our close friends at Friendly Powersports.
Displaying a MAC yard sign at your home or your business puts our message, “PLEASE WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES,” directly in front of motorists WHILE THEY’RE DRIVING. The hope is that it will make an immediate impression so that, at the next intersection or the next left turn into a shopping center or around the next curve, they will actively watch for motorcycles.
While Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month is ending, rest assured that, at MAC, EVERY month is Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month. You can make a difference simply by displaying one of our MAC yard signs. A list of places to get them is found elsewhere on this MAC web site.
Be safe out there.
