The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission has announced that the 2023 Traffic Records have been compiled. Dr. Helmut Schneider, Executive Director of the Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety at LSU, will unveil the statistics at a seminar Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 9 a.m. It will be a Zoom meeting, and the details are in the graphic below.
The Motorcycle Awareness Campaign hopes the number of crashes in which a motorist violates the motorcyclist’s right of way has made a significant drop. Without going into detail, it looks like East Baton Rouge Parish had the most motorcycle fatalities last year, followed by Orleans Parish.
